Growth-oriented policy, says FIEO

THE Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has hailed the new Exim policy as "growth-oriented," which would help in bridging the country's trade deficit.

In a statement issued here, the FIEO Vice-President, Mr S.K. Saraf, said that continuation of the DEPB scheme and restoration of status quo in value gap provided immense relief to exporters.

The apex body of information technology hardware, the MAIT said that modifications to the electronic hardware technology park scheme would help the domestic hardware industry, meet the challenge of zero-duty regime under the ITA-1 of the WTO.
